Entering average will be ‘08-‘09 book ending average of 21 games or more. If no ‘08-‘09 book average, use average as of January 1, 2010 based on 21 games or more. USBC Rule #319-A2 will apply if average as of January 1, 2010 is 10 pins or more higher than the previous season’s average. An entering average of 225 will be used if average requirements above do not qualify. All averages will be verified prior to the tournament.
The Gr Aurora USBC is adding $1,000.00 to the Tournament prize fund !!!!
RULES & REGULATIONS OF 2010 WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
1. This tournament shall consist of an adult 5-woman Team Event, Doubles, Singles and two optional All events (scratch and handicap). Doubles and Singles events may be split and bowled on a separate date and time as noted on form. Adult women members who are currently certified in the Gr Aurora USBC Association are eligible to bowl in this tournament. If certification cannot be verified, an associate membership may be purchased at the tournament site at a cost of $20.00.
2. Multiple participation in the Team Event is allowed. Only three members of a five-person team that have already participated in the tournament Team Event may bowl together on another five-person team. The first Team Event bowled shall be used for the All Events score.
3. All prize money will be returned 100% in each of the events. Prize ratio will be 1:5 entries. The Gr Aurora USBC Association is also guaranteeing an additional $1,000.00 to be split between the Team, Doubles and Singles events of this tournament.
4. Handicap will be based on 90% of the difference from the eligible average and 225.
5. Tournament entries will be accepted 30 minutes prior to the start of the last squad.
6. Entrants will use their highest USBC-certified league average in the following order:
a) Highest USBC-certified league average for end of the previous winter season, based on 21 games or more (Book average will be accepted as official);
b) If “A” does not apply, use the highest current season average in a USBC-certified league as of and including January 1, 2010, based on 21 or more games.
c) If none of the above apply, entrant must bowl scratch using 225 average
d) USBC Rule #319-A2 will apply. If January 1, 2010 average is 10 pins higher than previous season’s average, that average will be used.
Failure to use the correct average or failure to make a correction prior to the time of bowling will disqualify the score if the submitted average is lower than the correct average. If the submitted average is higher than the correct average, handicap and prize winnings will be based on the submitted average.
7. The lineup on the tournament score sheets will coincide with the lineup as submitted on the tournament entry form and will not be changed. Teams wishing to bowl together on the same pair of lanes should send their entries together in the same envelope with a note stating they want to bowl together. Substitutes will be allowed for those entrants who cannot bowl after entry has been submitted.
8. Squads will start on time !! Anyone arriving late will bowl beginning with the frame currently being bowled. Zeroes will be given for the frames they have missed.
9. In case of a tie for 1st Place, co-champions will be declared with trophies awarded to all involved and money split between the places that are tied. In the event of all other ties, the prize money will be equally divided between the places involved in the ties.
10. Rules 319-C, 319-D and 319-E will not apply to this tournament.
11. All decisions of the tournament manager are final unless an appeal or protest is made in accordance with Rule #329.
12. The tournament manager reserves the right to reassign squads if entries received are less than 6 teams or 6 doubles and/or singles.
13. Violation of any of the above mentioned rules shall be subject to disciplinary action as well as disqualification. Any rule not listed will be adhered to as outlined in the 2009-10 USBC Playing Rules Book, Chapter 6.

SQUADS WILL START ON TIME !!! ANYONE WHO IS LATE WILL BE ALLOWED TO BOWL THE FRAME CURRENTLY BEING BOWLED WITH ZERO’S GIVEN FOR FRAMES MISSED !!
