December 2009 To: All Members of the Greater Aurora USBC Association Re: Bowlers To Veteran’s Campaign – November 2009 Another “Bowlers to Veterans Link” (BVL) campaign year has come and gone and the Greater Aurora USBC association would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the members for their cooperation in participating in our money raffles at all of the centers during the month of November 2009. The BVL organization, founded in 1942, uses this money to assist our hospitalized service men and women in purchasing recreational supplies and also assists them in their recreational outings, rehabilitation needs, and family assistance. In addition, this money also supports the BVL effort in sending bowling equipment to our overseas troops in action. At our national USBC meeting, I have heard first-hand accounts from our servicemen who expressed their utmost appreciation for this organization. A total of $2,929.50 was collected from the (5) centers in our association, which will be sent to the national Bowlers To Veteran’s organization.
