TOURNAMENT RULES
1. All bowlers must be currently certified USBC members who bowl in the jurisdiction of the Gr Aurora USBC Association bowling centers. Current certification cards will be required at check-in (30 minutes before squad time). If not bowling in a certified league in the bowling centers of the Gr Aurora USBC local association, a local membership may be purchased at a cost of $4.00.
2. Entry fees are $17.00 for each event and broken down per event as follows: Bowling fees: $8.00, Scholarship fees: $8.00 and Expense fees: $1.00. An optional All Events entry fee is $5.00. All prize money will be returned 100%.
3. Multiple participation is permitted with restrictions. In the Singles Event, a bowler can win only once in the Scholarship prize fund and in the Doubles Event, he/she must bowl with a different partner. The first Doubles Event bowled will count for the All Events score. Entries will be accepted up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the last squad.
4. This is a handicapped tournament with handicap figured at 90% from 225 scratch. Entering average will be based on the highest league and/or IHSA high school average as of March 1, 2010 with a minimum of 12 games. All bowlers must provide a league standing sheet or individual average sheet as of March 1, 2010 along with the entry form. If a bowler does not have a minimum number of 12 games or an average verification has not been supplied, the bowler will enter with a 225 scratch average. Failure to use the correct average will result in disqualification from the tournament.
5. Scholarships will be given for at least 1 out of every 4 entries and placed in a SMART fund account, # 11272 within 30 days of the tournament ending date. Each bowler may win only once in Singles, but more than once in Doubles. Plaques or trophies will be awarded to the 1st Place scratch and handicap champions in each event. Scholarship awards will be based on handicapped scores only.
6. Should a bowler qualify for USBC awards, the tournament manager will fill out the form with their coach being responsible for said filing.
7. The Doubles lineup on the tournament score sheets will coincide with the lineup as submitted on the tournament entry form and will not be changed.
8. If a 1st place tie occurs in any event, co-champions will be declared, with scholarships split between the places involved in the tie. Ties for all other places, scholarship money will equally be divided between the places involved.
9. All decisions of the tournament manager are final unless an appeal is made in accordance with USBC Rule #329.
10. The tournament manager reserves the right to reassign squad time if entries received are less than (4) doubles.
11. Entry fees are non-refundable after the entry has been processed and dates are assigned.
12. No bumpers will be allowed during tournament play.
13. All other rules not listed will be adhered to as outlined in the USBC Playing Rules Book, Chapter 6.
